Heason Technology at DSEI 2019

This year we had the pleasure of co-hosting the stand with our distribution partner Spinea, the Slovakian designer and manufacturer of high-precision, zero-backlash reduction gears and rotary actuators. 

Situated in South Hall on Stand S3-102, visitors to the Heason stand could see a selection of precision mechanics, motion controls and software motion components from our distribution partners including: 

• Spinea Zero Backlash Gears and Actuators
• Thomson Actuators

As well as showcasing products, the centrepiece of the show was our custom-built EtherCAT Controlled 6DoF Hexapod, where many visitors took the chance to complete our ‘maze’, a new addition to the Hexapod from the Engineering Design Show last year.

What is the EtherCAT Controlled Hexapod?

The Hexapod uses components from our key motion partners; Thomson precision linear actuators driven by Kollmorgen brushless AC synchronous motors. The Hexapod is controlled via Elmo motion controller with EtherCAT linked Elmo DC servo drives. Find out more about the Hexapod in our press release.
