Thomson's Motorised Lead Screws combine a hybrid stepper motors and a precision lead screw together in a compact design.Taper-Lock technology (patent pending) allows for fast decoupling and secure and aligned connections. Thomson's Motorised Lead Screws come in two configurations – as a Rotating Screw (S) or a Rotating Nut (N). The Rotating Screw works by having the motor rotate a lead screw and translates a load that is attached to the lead nut. The Rotating Nut works by rotating a nut within the motor body. Motion is achieved by constricting the motor and moving a load attached to the lead screw. An alternative option would be to constrict the lead screw and move a load attached to the motor.
