Paul completes a skydive in aid of the Progressive Supranuclear Palsy Association

Paul Sorrell, our Technical Sales Engineer, completed a skydive on Sunday 5th August to raise funds for the Progressive Supranuclear Palsy Association. He jumped from the terrifying heights of 12,000ft well done Paul!

He completed the skydive alongside some very brave women, including his sister, niece and four other family friends.

The charity is very close to Paul’s heart after a friend’s father sadly suffered from Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP), a neurological condition. PSP is caused by the premature loss of nerve cells in certain parts of the brain.

This was Paul’s first ever skydive, something he was very keen to tick off his bucket list. He said:

The experience was completely breath-taking in every sense. I would jump at the opportunity to do it again.”

More about the Progressive Supranuclear Palsy Association

PSPA provides support and information to people living with PSP and CBD (Corticobasal Degeneration), while funding research into treatments and ultimately a cure for these conditions.

Their aim is that people affected by PSP and CBD do not feel they have to face the future alone, provide everyone affected with information and support to enable them to lead the best life they can.

PSPA raise awareness of PSP and CBD, particularly with decision-makers and health professionals, so that they recognise the conditions and have the skills and knowledge to help those affected access the right services at the right time.
