Heason awarded the latest ISO 9001:2015 accreditation

We are pleased to announce that we have been accredited the new ISO 9001:2015 standard following an intensive audit by URS.

ISO 9001 was first published in 1987 by the International Organization for Standardisation (ISO) which is an international agency composed of the national standards bodies of over 160 countries. The current version of ISO 9001 was released in September 2015.

Companies use the standard to demonstrate the ability to consistently provide products and services that meet customer and regulatory requirements.

ISO 9001:2015 promotes the development of continual improvement, customer satisfaction, traceability and international best practices.

ISO 9001:2015 Audit Process

The audit was carried out by URS, United Registrar of Systems Limited, who are an independent certification body offering management system certification against a wide range of ISO standards for businesses across most industries.

To satisfy the objectives of this external audit we demonstrated to have implemented an effective quality management system. Evaluation criteria included:

  • A strong customer focus
  • A quality management system - including document control and process interactions
  • Responsibilities and involvement of top management
  • Management of resources - including human resources and the working environment  
  • Measurement, analysis, and improvement of the quality management system through internal audits and corrective/ preventive action
