Motion Control Engineer

Job Description

The successful candidate will be an experienced Engineer responsible for delivering motion control solutions as part of an integrated team providing innovative automation solutions across a broad range of industrial sectors. You will be able to successfully navigate multiple concurrent projects from concept through to delivery and commissioning ensuring all projects are delivered on time, to specification and within budget. You will be able to manage multiple interfaces, both externally in terms of customers and internally with Sales, Operations and Production. The role includes some travel, mostly UK, but occasionally European, to support customer installations and/or commissioning activities.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will be an Engineer, experienced in automation and/or motion with an electrical and control basis. You will be familiar with Motion Control Products including Servo Motors, Drives, Controllers, Programmable Automation and Motion controllers. You will be qualified to HND level in electrical and/or control engineering with past experience working in a similar role with a motor or drive manufacturer, systems integration or machine builder. Heason offers full product training via manufacturers’ factory training courses together with in-house training programmes. Some experience of Machinery Directive and CE requirements such as Low Voltage and EMC Directives. Document Author for project technical files and work instructions.
