Heason Technology is appointed a Preferred Sales Partner UK for Kollmorgen
Kollmorgen Europe GmbH, the global motion
systems and components manufacturer has signed UK based motion
control distributor and systems integrator Heason Technology into
its newly launched 'Sales Partner Program'.
The 'Sales Partner - Silver' programme is a contractual agreement
that provides the foundation and resources for the highest level of
technical and commercial support for Heason's customers throughout
Kollmorgen's comprehensive range of motors, drives and
motion/machine application software. This includes regular factory
based training for Heason's applications and sales teams as well as
a competitive pricing policy and fast product delivery from a stock
inventory programme.
Heason Technology has represented Kollmorgen in the UK for over 20
years and the new business partnership initiative consolidates the
close working relationship that has been forged between the two
companies. "We welcome Heason Technology as an inaugural member of
our new Silver Partner programme," says Dietmar Kammer,
Kollmorgen's Export Sales Manager.
"We are sure that Heason will provide our customers with a real
value-add service that will be of benefit to us all."
The close links and solid business relationship between the two
companies was underpinned in a recent visit that Heason's General
Manager, Jon Howard, made to Kollmorgen's servo motor manufacturing
plant in Brno, Czech Republic. The showcase 7500 m2
facility has been manufacturing Kollmorgen servomotors for more
than ten years and helped to develop the high performance AKM range
in 2005. The AKM range covers 8 frame sizes with maximum rated
power from 0.3 kW to 23 kW and continuous torque rating to 180 Nm.
With full design, production, test and support functions at the
Brno plant, there are more than 150,000 different variants of the
AKM range available and over 1,600 motors are produced per week
using a comprehensive ERP system that targets an order in/out lead
time of just two weeks.
The Silver Partner agreement was signed at this year's
SPS/IPC/DRIVES Exhibition in Nuremberg in November.
