Heason Technologies is excited to introduce Delta Tau Data
Systems Clipper (Turbo PMAC2-Eth-Lite), a
feature-filled, highly cost-effective multi-axis controller.
Heason Technologies is Delta Tau's longest serving and most highly
experienced distributor and systems integrator in the UK.
Based on the Turbo PMAC2 CPU, the Clipper provides a single board
with four or eight axis servomotor or stepper motor control with
32-digital I/O points and choice of Ethernet or RS232 communication
ports.
By streamlining communications, the standalone Clipper controller substantially improves performance and throughput. For example, the Clipper eliminates the delay and overhead caused by sending event completion data through the central computer to trigger events on another controller or I/O board. Additionally, the flexibility of the Clipper allows control of multiple mechanisms and makes programming easier by supporting up to 16 independent coordinate systems with independent, yet overlapping motion sequences for each system.

On a single 110mm x 220mm board, the standard Turbo PMAC2-Eth-Lite Controller packages such high performance features as:
- 4 or 8 axes of simultaneous control (0.5 ms cycle time)
- Up to 16 independent coordinate systems
- Multitasking of up to 16 motion programs and 64 asynchronous PLC programs
- Easy-to-use, high-level programming language
- Linear, circular, rapid, B-spline, Hermite-spline interpolation modes
- True S-curve accel/decel for jerk-limited profiles
- Dynamic multi-move lookahead for robust acceleration control
- Path retrace capability
- Coordinate system translation and rotation, 2D and 3D
- Embedded forward and inverse kinematic routines for non-Cartesian geometries
- Tool-radius compensation
