Nanomotion's AB5 Amplifier

AB5 Amplifier with Built-In Thermal Protection
Nanomotion have released the AB5
amplifier with built-in thermal protection. This is an added safety
feature that will benefit all customers, as it provides a cut off,
when the amplifier logic predicts that the motor will burn. This is
accomplished via a circuit in the amplifier that monitors the
EOP/voltage input and calculates the expected temperature.
There is a warning at an expected temperature of 85 deg C. The
warning is in the form of an available output and flashing LED.
There is a shut off, when the expected temperature is 100 deg
C.
All AB5 amplifiers will ship from the factory with the Thermal
Protection Feature ENABLED. The operating
environment will be set for Atmosphere and a 25 deg C ambient
temperature. There will be a document that shows how you can change
the setting to VACUUM or to 50 deg C temp.
