New Hybrid Stepper Motors from Danaher Motion
Date: 18 December 2006

Up to 40% more than your average torque.
New range performs significantly better than other stepper motors of the same size.
Danaher Motion, the specialist in drive and control technology, is launching its new CT series of extremely powerful hybrid stepper motors. Thanks to the technology integrated into the housing, the new range provides a significantly higher torque than other stepper motors of the same size. In addition, the models feature excellent heat dissipation and an extremely high axial and radial load capability. The motors, which have a step size of 1.8°, are available in NEMA flange sizes 17, 23 and 34. Various lengths are available for each flange size and the windings can be tailored to the particular application for which they are required.
The CT range of stepper motors boasts several improvements over the features of standard hybrid stepper motors. The aluminum housing ensures superior heat dissipation, creating a higher output torque during operation. Over and above this, improved stator magnets deliver up to 40% more torque in the same footprint, while neodymium iron boron magnets guarantee optimum torque density. Thanks to much larger front bearings, which are secured in a circlip, the motor can handle even extremely high radial and axial loads effectively. An O-ring in the bearing retainer helps to minimize noise levels.
The new hybrid stepper motors from Danaher Motion are ideally suited to all fields requiring powerful miniature motors, such as medical applications, textile and semiconductor production and electronic manufacturing.
These motors are now available from Heason Technologies, the leading supplier of Danaher motors in the UK today. Many other ranges of products from Danaher can be seen on our web site at www.heason.com
