Military on Land

Long gone are the days when the soldier went to war with his head sticking out of a turret or an armoured vehicle.

In the modern army the gun mount on top of the vehicle is fitted with servo actuators tht allow the armourment to be swivelled and elevated at the touch of a joy stick.

Heason Technology already has many applications where they supply brushed motors and gear sets built into the axis of the gun mount. Heason Technology will even go further and assemble the sub assembly leaving the main contractor to mount these completed sub systems onto the main yoke. 

Traversing Tank Turrets

A typical application for a gear system manufacturer is the main turret rotational drive on a battle tank. But there are many restrictions to these designs including space envelope and high torque requirements. One special need is for a gear set that can withstand a barrel strike that is caused by the barrel hitting an inmoveable object.

When your in a tank, all bolted down for action, you can rarely see what is either side of you.

Naval Specifications

It's a dark night at sea and a heavy swell is running. The frigate is powering through the sea on its way to investigate a suspicious blip on a radar screen.

In this real life situation the Navy needs:
