Heason Technology is Flying High ...

Commercial Jet, Aeroplane, Heason Technologies

Heason Technology is actively involved in the aerospace markets.

Applications range from high ratio reduction gears in flap actuators and fly-by-wire active stick technology through to numerious manufacturing, testing and qualifiying  systems using test rigs.

Our civil aircraft applications are serviced using both our ranges of gear systems and the special build capabilities of our motor manufacturers. We would particularly draw your attention to the frameless motors manufactured for us by the Emoteq Corporation of Tulsa USA. These motors are standard selections for the design teams in this industry.

The Modern Fighter

aa jsf

The modern fighter is the ideal platform for Heason Technology to demonstrate the use of a number of its high tech manufactured products and systems.

By using products from:

  • The Emoteq Corporation
  • Our suppliers of high ratio reduction gearing
  • BEI Kimco voice coil motors
  • Nanomotion ceramic motors

We can address areas on the military aircraft including

  • Active sticks
  • Flap actuation
  • Nose radar systems
  • Surveillance radar on AWACS

Further information is always available from Heason Technology.

Active Stick Technology

aa flightsticks

In the current crop of high performance fighter aircraft such as the JSF, it is essential for the flight surfaces to be controlled by fly by wire systems. With systems such as these the pilot has little or no feed back feel when he moves the stick, so a system has to be incorporated that gives the side stick feel.

Heason technology has been involved in different designs with the world leaders of this type of system. The current favourite is to use a small brushless motor that drives through a high ratio reduction gear system. As the pilot moves the stick a force is generated by this actuator that is proportional to the amount of movement. The more aggresive the move the higher load is felt back through the stick.

In civil applications, such as helicoptors, a different system can be used to generate a force feed back. One of the voice coil motors manufactured for us by BEI Kimco is one choice that is both dynamic enoughfor the system and at the same time cost effective in the lower cost designs.
